Biography
TNEEK was inspired by female rappers of the 90's & naughties - where her artistry birthed. Her diverse flows and punchy delivery denotes the passion she has for the message within her music. Whilst Lauren Hill was her biggest inspiration, Da Brat, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Eve, Kelis, Estelle and Ms Dynamite inspired her creatively.
Starting out in a duo with her brother Adam on the stage in churches and festivals (e.g, Nottinghill Carnival, Trafalgar Square), together they became members of Soundbwoy Ent. whose song 'Never Wanna Say' entered the Top 20 UK Official Charts in 2006. Since the collective departed, TNEEK went on as a solo artist managed by her older brother (founder of Sho Sho Clothing) and released a mixtape. The success of ShoSho Clothing landed her collaborations with Chip, Wretch32, Black The Ripper, Flirta D, Scorcher, Dot Rotten, Double S and more. Some of her video appearances aired on renown SKY TV Channels like MTV, FlavaTV, Channel U and online GRM Daily etc.
In 2013, she returned to the mic with a fresh outlook as she rekindled her faith, found peace with God, 'the church' and became a wife. Since then, she released an 8 track EP, singles and hosted her first radio show on UGN Jamz Radio mentored by Dave P / Helen Le Paul.
TNEEK worked with many UK award-winning gospel acts like Sarah Teibo, Sounds of New Wine and Lurine Cato (together they supported Kirk Franklin in concert). She recorded an 'unofficial' remix to Erica Campbell's "I Luh God', and featured on a compilation album alongside Todd Dulaney, Jonathan McReynolds, Deitrick Haddon, Lecrae, Michelle Williams and more. TNEEK also supported American artists Bizzle and Emanuel (formerly known as Da Truth) in concert.
TNEEK has been labelled as the most established UK Christian female rapper. Despite her humility, the impact of her gifting speaks for itself as some have called her the "Queen of UK Christian Hiphop" or "best female MC in the UK Christian Hiphop (CHH) scene". Either way, TNEEK is fixated on God getting all the glory and since making headway in the scene, her single 'No Stress No Drama' reached No.3 in the BDS Gospel Radio charts in America.
Her love for music is endless; having 4 babies has not stopped her. TNEEK continues to work on new music and is developing projects focused on expanding and equipping the Christian rap scene, whilst having a sincere heart for young women. So don't be surprised if you catch her delivering a workshop for young women too.
